The water/sewer/power has all been installed, all of it is buried so that may be the reason some folks speculate it has yet to been done. We have multiple buyers who will be starting construction this summer, there is a process with designing, then getting approvals from design review, so that's why nobody is digging holes yet. So, in fact, there is a ton going on, Vining has been working their tales off getting the infrastructure completed, and have been doing an amazing job. Plans are in place to get the remaining real estate sold, stay tuned!

If the closed listings are correct it seems like the average of the 17 lots sold was 102% of min bid price, so the "gamble" to go that way netted almost $175K additional. #3 & 4 were highest at 111%. Only Lot#1 closed below the min bid price.

Zillow looks easier but I just scrolled through SL real estate recently sold listings
Here’s lot 1 for instance where it shows min bid and sold price https://sugarloafmountainside.com/lot-1-dutchman-woods/

Pick CV as the town and filter by Rural Land then sort by date and you will see the land transfers from BRE Dev to the new owners of Dutchmans Woods.

Dutchman Woods will be one of the best rural locations in Maine to seek a medical opinion with all of the doctors building houses in the development. Looking forward to seeing what goes up.

I'm a wall street guy. It would be interesting to know who it is - maybe I know him. This is probably not the appropriate venue to discuss.

If I'm reading that right, it sounds like the Spurline and Stomping Grounds parks will be removed, and the Cruiser park will be expanded. Spurline should never have been a park, but the loss of Stomping Grounds will be the end of an era. On the bright side this will reduce traffic on SQ and Tote Road. Downside - increasing the crowd on Whiffletree, but Bucksaw offsets that. Hope they steer park users down Jill Poke. The Stomping Grounds trail in combination with lower Haywire will be a welcome alternative to Candyside. Hope they rename it Lower Double Bitter.

LLBean replacing Life is Good - good.

"stay tuned for a new restaurant offering joining the Village Center scene." - Village Center is where The Bag and Downhill Supply are. Guessing they mean the Gepetto's space which is in Village West. Or the A&L space which I suppose they might want to also call Village Center.

They mention opening Twitcher and Yarder, but not Cutter, which is a bit of a bummer. Yarder is an important connector for people getting off WMC. Twitcher is another green cruiser. They are unclear about Beaver Tail. Seems like the steeper upper section will remain closed, also unfortunate.

You called it. Stomping Grounds was renamed to Lower Double Bitter. The trail map PDF has been updated on the website.

Agree on Jill Poke. Been saying that is one of the most underutilized trails on the mountain forever. Trail needs to be a priority with grooming and adding snowmaking. WT area badly needs another way down from the top that is not the whiffletree trail to reduce crowding. rollway doesnt count.

On a similar note, I noticed Blueberry's Grove between upper whiffletree and upper cruiser was recently cleaned up nicely. Does anybody else know of other wooded areas that the mountain has done cleanup on this year/past few seasons?

8) Now if I could be that clairvoyant in my company football pool.

Hope the connector between LDB and Haywire will remain open. They need to re-label Haywire a blue to green. Jeez.

Looks like Jill Poke will indeed be part of the new park there, if the new trailmap is to be believed.

They're showing future R/E development on both sides of Chipper. I figured the downhill side was a ripe opportunity, but the uphill side seems like a stretch.

Please rename Feller Buncher.

In this case, looks like Jill Poke will become a park too. Great call. They really nailed it with this one.

I think this is going to drastically benefit the skiing this winter. SQ is going to ski way better, and this will generally help increase the spreading out of people even more.

Cool, but I don't like how he said "when this trail is open" regarding Jill Poke. Hope they commit to that trail more this year. They should not want park users and novices/ski school sharing the first couple sections of the Whiffletree trail. Also, what "natural features"?

And please fix the lifts on the trail map! Skyline is still going up sluice, T-bar is going up spillway and KP upper terminal is in the imaginary snowfields.

How can that shit pass proofreading test 2 years in a row?

Easy answer to that question. The lifts clearly got moved this summer to the locations shown on the map. I always thought the Spillway trail was too wide and could use a T-bar running up the side of it. I'm looking forward to getting a taste of the snowfields before descending Haulback. James Niehues would not be happy...

if I had to guess, the lifts are grouped in a layer in their graphic design file (adobe illustrator?) and all lifts were shifted at once. Pretty easy to do and not see it if you are the only one working on it.

Boyne, if you need a cartographer, send me a DM.

On the Interactive Trail Map the lifts are better aligned.

Yeah, really wish they'd have fixed that this year. Especially since this is season two of having it wrong! It's a small detail, but looks sloppy.

Looks like they extended L. Sheer Boom on the map? Can't be right, but this makes it look like you'd be able to ski under the SQ down along the boarder cross (which I can't imagine without some serious reworking of that area or a lot of snow).

It’s been like that on the map since before Sidewinder went in almost 20 years ago. Definitely remember doing it a couple time to the brook under SQ. Once Sidewinder went in, they kept the section between Peavy to Sidewinder open for a couple seasons. Don't believe Ive ever seen it opened back up since they added the snowmaking pipe and electrical hook ups that block the exit back onto Sidewinder. Still find it funny it’s been counted as a trail for at least a decade and marked open without any intentions of it being an open trail again.

I've said this before, but SL seriously needs a new trail map. The current one is so cluttered as to be unusable, and the Brackett Basin section is downright inaccurate.
