Any advice for which poles I should buy

Postby wigman » Wed Oct 15, 2014 8:14 pm

Metal poles don't survive my tree skiing adventures. I want burly with powder baskets.

I guess its time I tried them out. I just ordered a pair. Lets see if those baskets can survive our twigs.

Thank you my friend

I've seen them, they seem pretty bomb proof. Very hip choice.
My black diamond carbon poles are super tough, and collapse for skinning, designed for backcountry but I use them full time

Cool design, it kind of opens up as you push down on to the snow. Should work well in any amount of snow, I wonder about hard pack. Hey, it's a set of poles get a pair of BD's too for skinning if the others don't work out. I think they will be fine

They seem burly and less likely to get hung up on swag and trees. I'm hopeful. The crew that make them are fun and personable. It's refreshing to see that. If they hold up, I will be their greatest advocate in these parts.

You get to design your own poles!! I picked those grips. They seem nice. The strap, also changeable, looks ez to get in and out of.

So far I really like my panda poles. The straps are really easy to get in and out of. The grips are awesome.
