Snowguns firing

Snowguns firing

Postby loafman207 » Thu Nov 14, 2024 1:19 pm

Saddleback has fired up the snow guns on Tri-color and grey ghost. Opening day is scheduled for Dec 6. With any luck they should have a good selection of trails, usually the bottom quad, ghost, weaver and with any luck one of the devils and/or coachmen to go along with Tri-color and maybe America.

Hopefully we will be in Casablanca by MLK weekend!

Seems a bit bizarre that there's no snowmaking going on over there today according to the mountain report. Maybe they don't need it ???? 8)

According to their post they will be open with an "above average" number of trails on Friday. With some luck on Thursday I would bet some of their lower angle natural stuff (Golden smelt?) might be ready to go.

Fan guns have been visibly on from the base lodge webcam since the cold settled back in on Black Friday.

That's what you call making a statement. I just came here to say that.

Dropped to "only" 48/68 but that may have been due to blowdowns. Some glades even in play!

That moose is probably about 3700’ in elevation if it is where I think it is. Amazing!
