Now in its 32nd year, the Sugarloaf Marathon is Maine’s oldest continuously run marathon, drawing hundreds of runners from all over the U.S. and Canada.

Despite the mountainous surrounding, Sugarloaf's course is widely known as a fast course. The final 16 miles of the course have an elevation loss of 980 feet. It is common for runners to have personal best times on this course.

The Sugarloaf Marathon is an official qualifier for the Boston Marathon and USATF certified.

The 2014 Sugarloaf Marathon will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2014.
