Delivery

A place for people to arrange carpooling to and from the loaf and surrounding areas. Let's all save some gas $$ this winter!

Delivery

Postby rufus2step » Tue Mar 29, 2016 7:15 am

I am looking for someone to transport one of the old Spillway chairs that has been converted into a bench from the Downhill Supply Company to Falmouth, Maine. I bought it a few years ago, but do not have a car big enough to carry it. Bounty offered. Handle of Jack or other appropriate reward.

My chair is still there and I am offering payment in the form of your choice. 750 ml of Johnny Walker Blue? A selection of fine brewed beverages? Cash? One on one sessions with anyone interested in some bumps or free-skiing with low-key but effective approach? No disappointments promised.

Yeah, I misspelled Johnnie Walker, but you will get the real thing with a gift wrap. Or whatever else you select, with a gift wrap. Even the one on one. Even if you are skilled but not currently winning World Cup, I can probably help your skiing. And you can say that sucked and then select another form of payment. Chair has been there for 3 years now. I will load and unload with you. Buy you a Bag Burger. Several times. For eternity.

Send me dimensions. If I can fit it in the back of my Land Cruiser I will do it. I will be up and back a lot more starting next week. It may be a 2 stage move as I live near Augusta.

It is an SUV so not open back but I can fit a full sized couch in the back when I fold down the seats.

Let me know. If it doesn't fit I can probably have access to a truck as well.

Hey! Thanks! I may have someone local on the board who can haul without going too far out of the way.

Let me know. I don't mind a project like this.

Would be a good project for a day where the weather doesn't work for skiing.

rufus
if nothing pans out:
do you have a trailer hitch?
Rent a small trailer from Uhaul. 1 day is cheaper than a handle of Jack :D

I wish I could help but....
Good Luck

I am at my condo tonight. Skiing tomorrow. Likely heading home tomorrow evening or Friday morning and then heading to Portland.

Not sure if you are around for that to work.

Again if it doesn't work out now I am more than willing to do it in the future.

Don't worry I don't drink Jack

Been here at the loaf most of the week. Heading back on Saturday and could likely make second leg to Falmouth later in the week.

Just let me know. Happy to do it.

Departure may be delayed until Monday.

The offer still stands.

If you are nervous you don't know me I can provide details to help you be sure I am not a fraud.

My wife and kids would love some pointers you offered on skiing. They will listen to others much more than me.

I am too fat old and stubborn to listen.

Just let me know

Hey guys I moved mine with my Silverado. Not sure about getting it into a Cruiser or even a suburban easily. They are pretty heavy and the legs that are installed make it pretty big. A pick up would be easier for sure.
