Staff Leaving

Staff Leaving

Does anyone know why the Marketing Director and Ski School Director left Saddleback? Have any other key players left? Seems odd to me that they would leave after only being at the mountain 1 season.

Rode Skyline with the aforementioned Saddleback ski school director's mother the other day. She (the director) was told to "shut up" and that nobody wanted her opinion, by upper management. This is the same old-boy management from before the closure. Around 10 other female director/middle-management staff have left for the same reason. The director was recruited from SL and is now back at SL.

Enjoy Saddleback while you can, sounds like they are going to run it into the ground again. What backwoods morons.

Only major position listed as open now is Senior VP of Finance. The others are the usual openings that every ski area has - patrol, lift ops & maint, snowmaking, ski school, bartender, cook, cashier, dishwasher, etc.

Did they all leave at once or is this over the last several years? Clearly they have an issue if true, but that seems like a lot of directors and middle management (assuming there are some males in the mix as well) for the size of the business.

Just heard the same thing tonight from a second woman who went to work at Saddleback last year and came back to Sugarloaf for the same reasons.

For now. Is it enough to offset the gas spent on that commute?
