Val d’Isere

Going there in late January. I have wanted to ski the alps since I was just a little Masshole.
Any tips?
Put a glide in your stride and a dip in your hip
And come on up to the Mothership

Bring your patience, Mr. B. General strikes in transportation are going on in France right now, most notably the rail lines. I'll be in Paris next week for work. Should be a good time trying to get around the city.

Hopefully the lift operators won't be on strike when you're there.

Rail transit went back to normal yesterday. But the unions are saying this is a temporary reprieve. Air traffic controllers are planning to call out Friday the 24th.

What a place
The day before we got here they got almost 2 feet and yesterday during they day they picked up and 20+. Wind holds on the upper terrain and zero viz but we found some nice tree stashes for our first day.
Woke up this AM and it is blue bird.
Hope to get up to the terrain that was shut yesterday.
No strike issues yet.
