Headed to PEI for a few days in July. Any recommendations on where to stay..........should charlottetown be our base and do day trips from there? Thanks

What do you like to do/what are you hoping to do?
The beaches are great; the whole island is drive-able in a few hours, so that makes things a bit easier; Charlottetown has the (small) city stuff; lots of golfing; good camping too.
All depends on what you want to do/see and who you're going with.

We will do the beach one day, gold one day, then site see another day. I haven't been there since I was a kid and cant remember what beach we went to............but we camped right next to it.
