Load links in posts in a new tab or window?

This has been annoying me for ages. Any links I click in forum posts seem to take me away from the page I'm on and I have to navigate back. Is there a setting to make links open in a new tab/window? Looked but saw nothing

Should be a browser setting, which browser are you using?

If you have a mouse with a right click, then right click the link and select "open link in new tab".

And on a Mac you can double-finger click on the pad and use the same option.

The KZone was able to change something in the board software to make this automatically happen. I believe they use the same software.

Yeah, sure, I can right click and open in a new window, I know that. But I have to remember to do that. The "same window" behavior appears to be a phpbb default behavior/limitation. Lots of discussion of it online. Several other forums I visit online use vbulletin, which does open links in a new window by default. Was hoping it was in individual preference I could set here.
